Can someone else drive the rental car?
No, only the registered driver whose documents have been submitted to the car rental company can drive the car. If there are two drivers, both must submit the required documents. What are the parking rules in the UAE?

Why do I need to pay a deposit to rent a car?
In the UAE, unlike some other countries, traffic fines are imposed several days after an accident occurs or is reported by the Roads and Transport Authority. This is why the deposit is insurance for the company so that it does not lose money during the rental period. The deposit depends on the type of car. For example, for Lamborghini, Rolls Royce or Ferrari, it will be higher than for other cars. The deposit is blocked on your credit card and will be fully or partially refunded after 21 days when the rental agreement is completed.
